Social Studies:
We will begin working in a new modern day Downers Grove packet. The students will also be given a learning log to work in. All of the answers to the questions in the learning log will be discussed in class. All of these answers come directly from the new Downers Grove packet. There will be a test covering this material in a few weeks. These important packets should stay in the social studies folder in the binder until we are done with the unit.

Math:
Our t-chart quiz will be on Thursday, November 12th. Students will have to solve three different problems and write one complete t-chart on this quiz. After that we will start chapter 5 on time and money. In addition to Chapter 5, we will also begin multiplication! On Friday, November 20th, the students will take a quiz on the multiplication facts from 2x0 all the way up to 2x12. The quiz contains 26 problems that must be completed in 2 minutes. These multiplication quizzes are worth 10 points. If a student cannot pass the quiz on Friday, he/she will retake the quiz on the next class day, but the maximum grade they can receive is a 9 out of 10 points. The quiz grade will be lowered each day until the student passes the quiz. All students are expected to pass each multiplication quiz on each number up to 12.
